Suno: a permanent “vocalist” for your project and stems for remixes

Suno has long been able to write full songs with vocals, but generation had one problem: every new track came with a new random voice. For a one-off birthday song that doesn't matter. For an album, a channel or a game project it does. The second pain point: a finished track was a single block. You couldn't make a backing track or pull out the vocals.

NeuralBox solves both. Persona lets Suno sing in your own voice, and stem separation splits a finished song into separate tracks. Below is how it works and what it costs.

Persona: one voice for every song

In Suno V5, V5.5 and V6 you can add your own voice as a persona. Upload a recording of yourself speaking or singing, pick a segment of it, then read the verification phrase aloud in the same voice. Once the check passes, every new song can be performed by that same voice. Your project gets a permanent vocalist: an album sounds consistent, and a channel or game character is always recognizable.

Persona works in custom mode: paste your own lyrics (up to 5,000 characters), describe the style, and Suno sings your words in the saved voice. Creating the voice is free (you need at least 1,000 tokens on your balance), and songs cost the same as a regular generation in these versions.

Stem separation: a track split into parts

Stem separation splits a finished track into separate stems: vocals, drums, bass, instruments. From these you can build a backing track for a live performance, an a cappella for a remix, or individual parts for your own mix in a DAW.

One caveat: Suno runs the track through a copyright check and sometimes rejects the split because it matches an existing recording in its catalog, even if the track is one you generated yourself. This isn't a bug, it's Suno's protection mechanism. When that happens, the tokens go back to your balance automatically.

Backing track
Remove the vocal stem and you have a ready instrumental for a performance or karaoke.
Remix
A cappella plus your own beats: the vocals as a separate stem for rebuilding the track.
Your own mix
Drums, bass and instruments separately — adjust the balance in any editor.

Pricing

There is no subscription: you top up your balance by card (via Stripe) or with crypto and pay per generation. Every Suno generation gives you two versions of the track. Prices are on the Basic plan ($5 = 150,000 tokens); on higher plans tokens are up to 40% cheaper.

OptionPriceWhat you get
Suno V4.53,000 tokens ≈ $0.102 tracks per generation
Suno V5 / V5.54,000 tokens ≈ $0.132 tracks, persona support
Stem separationfrom 500 tokens ≈ $0.02from 2 to 12 stems depending on the mode: vocals, drums, bass, instruments and more; if Suno's copyright check rejects the split, tokens are refunded automatically

How to try it

Sign in with Telegram, Google or email, top up your balance (from $5 by card, from $2 in crypto) and open the Music tab. For a persona, add your voice, record the verification phrase, then select the voice in custom mode in V5, V5.5 or V6. For stems, pick a finished track and start the separation.

A detailed look at the versions, prompt examples and an FAQ are on the Suno on NeuralBox page.
