Video face swap: two models for two different jobs

The Face Swap group on the Video tab holds two models that are easy to mix up: both work with faces and video, both take a photo and a video as input, and neither needs a prompt. But they do fundamentally different things.

In short: Face Swap replaces the face in an existing clip and leaves everything else alone. Wan Animate works the other way around — it takes the character from your image and makes it repeat the motion from a reference video. Here are the details.

Face Swap — a true face replacement in a finished video

Classic in-place face swap: upload a photo with the face you want and a video, and you get the same video back with the face replaced. Background, motion, clothing, lighting — all stay as they were; only the face changes.

It's billed per second of the input video, rounded up to a whole second: 550 tokens ≈ $0.018 per second, so a 10-second clip costs about $0.18. Videos up to 20 seconds are supported.

If you need to replace the whole person rather than just the face, there's PixVerse Swap in the PixVerse group: the hairstyle and clothing come from your reference, while the scene and motion stay. It costs more — about $0.17 per second at 540p and $0.23 at 720p.

Wan Animate — the character repeats the motion

This one works on a different principle: the video serves as a motion reference, not as material to edit. You upload an image with a character and a sample video, and the model animates the character from the image so that it repeats the motion from the video (character-driven animation). The result is a new clip with your character, not an edited version of the source.

The price here is fixed — 70,000 tokens ≈ $2.33.

When to choose which

The rule is simple: if the original clip matters, use Face Swap; if your character matters, use Wan Animate.

Face Swap — from $0.018/sec
Replace the face in an existing video without changing anything else. Videos up to 20 seconds, billed per second.
Wan Animate — $2.33
Make the character from your image move like the one in the sample video: dance, gestures, body movement.

On ethics — read this

Face swapping is a powerful tool and must be used responsibly: use only your own face or the face of someone who has given explicit consent. Creating a video with someone else's face without permission violates their right to their own image and may have legal consequences.

How to try it

Sign in with Telegram, Google or email, top up your balance and open the Video tab → the Face Swap group. Upload a photo and a video — no prompt needed. Prices are on the Basic plan ($5 = 150,000 tokens); on higher plans tokens are up to 40% cheaper.

Try video face swap
