GPT Image is made by OpenAI and powers images in ChatGPT. It follows long descriptions closely and renders readable text: signs, card messages, diagram labels.

GPT Image 2 and GPT Image 2.5 have the same standard price. You can upload up to 16 reference images. In Cheap mode the price depends on the detail level: at high detail it is half the standard price, and GPT Image 2 takes up to 9 references. Reliable mode exists only in GPT Image 2, goes directly through OpenAI and costs more.
